A large international team working for three years at modelling European forests. This is in a very synthetic way the FORMIT project: FORest management strategies to enhance the MITigation potential of European forests.
Trying to predict in a rigorous way the effect of climate change to forest ecosystems production.
We find that none of the existing models was able to do this. So we decided to develop a new model: FORMIT-M.
